Variations

Variations are a part of the order creator app. These docs have been added under a separate category because configuration of variations is not required for the basic use of the app (converting quotes to orders)

Variations were added to track changes to an order and to establish an approvals process for these changes.

When a variation is created on an order the system creates a new quote on the original opportunity. A pdf can be generated from this quote and when the variation is approved the order creator conversion process will run and merge the variation back into the order it was created from.

Values from approved variations to an order line item are automatically rolled up to the original line item. The admin can define which fields are rolled up and where the rolled values should be stored on the original line item.
